If you have a Mac and you open Chrome and don’t see your normal homepage you have malware! Luckily it is pretty simple to fix and easy to check and confirm. Most of the Mac malware we see comes in through Chrome browser extensions that trick users into installing it and then it will redirect your search traffic to malicious sites or sites that try to sell you things you don’t need. You may have noticed that your top Google search results are different from what you are used to seeing. Another telltale sign this has happened is if your Chrome settings at the bottom say “some settings are managed by your organization”.
