Java plugin not working in Firefox, how to fix!

Symptom:  In Firefox, if you have Java 7 (any update number) installed however you cannot view any Java related content and you get a message stating to install Java (even though it is already installed).  Uninstalling/Reinstalling does not fix issue.

Common websites affected:  Pogo, Youtube,Facebook, Most internet game sites

The Fix:

1) Make sure Firefox is closed

2) Start regedit

3) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMozillaPlugins

4) Right click, add New Key, name: @java.com/JavaPlugin,version=11.xx.xx

5) Click on it, then right click and add new string value, name: path

6) Right click, Modify, change value data to: C:Program FilesJavajre7binplugin2npjp2.dll [check if this is the right dll for your setup]

6) Exit regedit

7) Start Firefox

**Note: As Java is updated the version in step #4 number would have to be changed to reflect that.  As of this post the current is Update 11.**
